This black-walnut gathering table was built for a wooded screened-porch setting in Brentwood, Tennessee. At 42 inches wide and 108 inches long, it creates generous room for meals and conversation while maintaining practical proportions for everyday use.
The room called for a piece with enough presence to anchor the space without competing with its wood, stone, and garden views. A broad walnut top, restrained base, and carefully composed grain allow the material itself to carry the visual weight.
Wide boards and softened natural edges preserve the variation and warmth of the walnut. A protective finish supports daily use while allowing the surface to remain tactile and expressive.
