AVODAH
(ah-voh-DAH)
A Hebrew word meaning work, service, and worship. In the Scriptures it describes the kind of labor that is offered to God — not only in temple worship, but in the faithful work of one’s hands and life.
Avodah carries the idea that ordinary work becomes sacred when it is done in devotion to God. Farming, building, crafting, teaching, parenting, and every honest trade can be an act of worship when done with faithfulness and excellence.
In simple terms:
Avodah — work offered to God as worship.
We help families turn their land into provision.
At Avodah, we believe work is not separate from purpose—it is an expression of it.
We come alongside families to cultivate their land with intention—restoring a way of life where provision is close to home, work is meaningful, and what is built can be passed down. Whether the goal is self-sufficiency, supplemental income, or a fully developed agricultural enterprise, we help shape a path forward rooted in stewardship and responsibility.
We begin by walking your land—learning its strengths, understanding your vision, and building in phases that honor both. From handcrafted garden systems to productive landscapes, and eventually into goods, branding, and distribution, each step is designed to grow into something lasting.
This is not about quick results or surface-level installs. It’s about reclaiming the connection between land, labor, and provision—and building something that endures.
Avodah — work as an act of worship.
Meet the cleveland’s
The Cleveland family lives in Nashville, Tennessee, where faith, family, and craftsmanship shape daily life. Rooted in a deep appreciation for honest work and the heritage of Tennessee, the family spends much of their time building, growing, and creating together.
Through their work with Avodah, they design and build handcrafted cedar garden beds, fences, and garden structures using Tennessee-milled cedar. The name Avodah comes from a Hebrew word meaning work, service, and worship—a reflection of their belief that meaningful work done with care and integrity can be an act of worship.
When they are not building gardens, the Cleveland family can often be found keeping bees, woodworking, teaching Scripture, exploring the outdoors, and pursuing traditional crafts that connect their children to the rhythms of creation and the heritage of working with their hands.
Their goal is simple: to cultivate a life where faith, family, craftsmanship, and the land are woven together in a way that brings Glory to God.

Before Avodah was ever a business, there was a story of faith and transformation.
In this video I share my personal testimony, how God has worked in my life, and why our family approaches work, craftsmanship, and life the way we do.
